About 6 years ago, I started a blog called Mind Medley. It was a dedicated piece of virtual real estate for my thoughts and a collection of the things I found amusing. I amassed a mere 6 followers, all people I knew in my real life. It didn't matter though-- the blog's intent had nothing to do with readership. My goals were directed inward. It was a way for me to express my thoughts, struggle with being a better writer, test my humor, and an excuse to research strange and fascinating subjects --mostly related to sex. I wrote for about 2 years, steadily. Then, predictably, life got in the way. I graduated college, met a boy, moved, got married, bought a house, etc. With great responsibility, comes... no time for yourself. The heavy reliance on Netflix doesn't help either. After 4 years of being asleep, I am suddenly aware that I am asleep. I am enjoying life, yes, but I don't fill my time with things that allow me to express myself and create.
